- Six dark grey keys (the four arrow keys, PageUp and PageDown) still cannot
- be redefined in PD4, but the other seven in the above Keywords list can. The
- article suggests some principles and patterns to guide their intensive use,
- and mentions a few traps to avoid. The directory Cuckoo on the November
- 1992 PipeLine4 disc demonstrates some problems with the use of certain keys
- during formula editing.
-
- Fingers are not easy to retrain, but I have found the effort worth while, to
- make the best use of a programme as versatile as PipeDream. Try these key
- definitions on some serious editing of text and tables, but always save your
- file before using a key you are not sure about. I hope you will like them
- as much as I do: after a few days' use, I no longer had much need of the
- memory aid, because the pattern of key combinations makes sense. But I'm
- still saving files more often -- did somebody say that's a good idea anyway?
-
- I intend to develop these ideas further, to make most PD4 commands easier to
- remember and use from the keyboard. Please contact me if you are interested
- in this project: my address and phone number are at the end of CmdKeys1.
